Knowledge Management
Facilitation and Certification

Having fun trying to understand the
techno-babble on knowledge management?

Knowledge management and intellectual capital are hot topics in today’s ever more competitive business world.  Understanding what your employees do and how they do it has never been more important to maintaining your business' operations, efficiency,  productivity and profitability.

Once you have gathered and understand this information, all you have to do is document it, index and organize it, communicate it to others that need the information and  protect it as a valuable asset of your business.  Sounds easy, right?

Many consultants and software companies have knowledge management solutions.  The Roster Network solutions are unique in that they are driven by the same systems and procedures used for  ISO 9000 facilitation and to determine your information system needs.

Back to Basics

The Roster Network has a common sense, real world solution to your business knowledge management needs.  The solution goes back to basics and starts by identifying all of your company’s goals, activities, tools and processes, levels of authority and impacts on others throughout the organization.  This is the essential information and knowledge that allows a business to operate and improve.  The Roster Network’s unique document team process will then develop the documentation needed to capture the business knowledge for each tool or process.  PerformanceWare can be used to manage all of this data and documentation.

Knowledge Management Certification

Knowledge Management Certification is a unique service available from The Roster Network and its member firms to provide recognition to those businesses that have maximized their knowledge management potential with the Integrated Solutions available from Roster Network Members.  This certification process has been developed with Roster Network member firms  CRS Registrars, Inc.,  an ISO Registrar identified by a  Customer Satisfaction Survey appearing in a July, 2000 Quality Digest article as one of the leading ISO Registrars in the country.

Knowledge Management Certification provides independent recognition that the certified company has completed documentation of its intellectual capital and business knowledge and makes regular and systematic efforts to protect and update this knowledge.  This service meets the needs of businesses who would like third-party confirmation of their efforts to document and protect their intellectual capital and business knowledge, but who neither require nor desire ISO 9000 registration.  Of course, the certification is available for ISO compliant companies which have used our facilitation processes to achieve registration.

The Roster Network Knowledge Management Certification is awarded upon the completion of the Criteria for Knowledge Management Certification and must be renewed on an annual basis upon verification of the required reviews and updates as applicable.
