The National Cutting Horse Association promotes and celebrates the Cutting Horse.

General Position Description

Maintain entry files on all shows (including 4 major events) which will require processing entries, receipts, and results. As well as providing various reports to department heads as needed.

Compensation

$12.50 an hour plus excellent benefits (Insurance: Major Medical, Dental, Life, Long/Short Term Disability and 401k Plan plus more

Macro Activity 1:  Triple Crown Events

-Process entries within 7 days of their receipt.
-Process daily deposits within and balance to entries within 10 days of their receipt.
-Answer questions regarding entries/shows as required.
-Prepare and mail pay reminders at least 20 days before the due date.
-Prepare show packets prior to the beginning of each show.
-Give IT and Dave information for draw on the day of each draw.
-Order working orders within 1 day of the completion of proofing.
-Proof entry information for Chatter and working orders within 4 days of draw.
-Enter and provide information on Super Stakes foal inceptive purse entries within 10 days of their receipt.
-Provide entry and subscription reports to Controller one week prior to draw, the day after each draw, three days prior to each show and the last Friday of each show.
-Prepare late payment penalty letters as required.
-Verify payee information within 1 day of receiving payout information from accounting.
-Prepare registration papers for Futurity horses prior to the beginning of the 1st go round.
-Prepare registration papers for Super Stakes/Derby 4-year-old horses that did not compete in Futurity prior to the beginning of the 1st go round.
-Provide prepaid stall information to stall office prior to the beginning of each show.
-Manage show office during shows as needed.
-Request registration papers for Futurity from entrants lacking the appropriate paperwork (May and September).
-Provide in-house entry trend information within one month of each payment due date.

-Determine which entries to cut if entries in any class exceed 50 within 3 weeks after entry due date.
-Contact potential contestants on all classes with fewer than 50 entries as required.
-Give IT and Dave information for draw on the day of each draw.
-Proof entry information for Chatter and working orders within 4 days of draw.
-Order working orders within 1 day of the completion of proofing.
-Provide entry reports to Controller one week prior to draw, the day after the draw and three days prior the show.
-Verify payee information within 1 day of receiving payout information from accounting.
-Provide prepaid stall information to stall office prior to the beginning of the show.
